Pervasive Software assisted SI ForeFront in delivering automated integration to a leading grocery chain in the U.S. Northeast. Competitive pressures, thinner margins, regulations, the need to capture and document existing processes and the desire to improve the shopper experience propelled Saker ShopRite to develop a B2B Exchange and an automated payroll system. Data management expert ForeFront was called in to assist the small IT shop at Saker ShopRite.
Recognizing that robust, flexible and reliable data integration would be a key to success, ForeFront selected Pervasive® Data Integrator™ to handle the integration needed for the projects. Scottsdale, AZ-based Response Analytics (RAI) realized that the ability to Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) must be a key feature within its application. When one of RAI’s flagship customers, a top lien outsourcing company, chose to use RAI’s Distressed Portfolio Management (DPM) solution, RAI found itself assessing its ETL needs.
Buy a separate ETL product and manually manage it every time it received a job or take an extensible, automated integration approach — these were RAI’s options. RAI, which incorporates advanced mathematics, behavioral modeling and optimization technologies to offer financial services optimization to solve mission-critical issues, determined it could best meet its customer’s objectives by leveraging Pervasive Data Integrator’s flexibility and automation. Pervasive Software recently had the opportunity to assist Poly-Asia e-Technology in establishing EDI integration with Microsoft Dynamics NAV for Protective Industrial Products Hong Kong (PIPHK), a supplier of industrial safety equipment. PIPHK required EDI integration with ERP system Microsoft Dynamics NAV. More precisely, the company wanted to automate its purchase ordering and invoicing processes with its largest partner and customer Protective Industrial Products USA (PIPUSA). Doing so would help both businesses reduce costs and increase revenue recognition in a leaner business climate. Pervasive provides fast, flexible embedded integration to Seattle's Daptiv, an on-demand leader in collaborative business software. Daptiv found customers faced setbacks in integrating systems with its on-line project and portfolio management and collaboration application Daptiv PPM and decided to develop an online integration service called Daptiv Connect.
Daptiv Connect takes the pain out of system integrations and provides customers with integration tools that help them map data relationships between Daptiv’s environment and outside applications quickly and conveniently. Pervasive® Data Integrator™ was chosen based on cost, robust connectivity and scalability. In particular, Pervasive's flexible Message Component Framework played an important role in bringing a solution to Daptiv.
Pervasive continues to prove itself as a leader in HIPAA integration, having helped an integrated medical management solutions company rapidly and effectively serve its clients with an array of data formats while meeting HIPAA mandates. The company sought to cost-effectively embed an integration engine into its software to manage HIPAA 278 transactions. Thinking through build-or-buy scenarios, it chose Pervasive® Data Integrator™ because it integrated into its applications while easily interfacing with its clients’ other EDI systems. Pervasive enabled a document and information management company to speed data collection. The company provides paper-to-data conversion services that primarily process medical claims information from multiple print to EDI formats for health insurers. As the company became more active in HIPAA 837 EDI file conversions, it found that custom code was difficult to sustain as development costs and downtime increased. The company sought a flexible, agile solution to support its service-level commitment to customers of 99.5% data accuracy with a 24-hour turnaround. They chose Pervasive® Data Integrator™. Pervasive Software, working with its partner Framsteg AB, provide quick, reliable data conversion and migration to a world-leading provider of network and communications technology and services. Pervasive is there when moving telecommunications customer subscriber data from previous providers to the telecommunication company’s platform. The customer, a steadfast Pervasive integration user since 2003, and their system integrator Framsteg AB use Pervasive® Data Integrator™ to provide the speed and reliability required to migrate customer data to its systems without any hitches. Pervasive Software has enabled a leading worldwide professional recruitment company to migrate the front office recruiting system at one office from an Oracle database to a Sybase system with a different schema and architecture. Both systems needed to be operated in parallel for over 12 months, so data had to flow bi-directionally. Pervasive® Data Integrator™ provided the solution.
Once personnel saw the ROI and scalability offered by Pervasive Data Integrator, they implemented one-way migrations in other offices. The company placed Pervasive Integration Engines in seven offices–in Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, and the UK. Pervasive® Data Integrator™ successfully completed an integration project between Lotus Notes and Salesforce for a European mortgage lender seeking faster, more accurate application processing. Pervasive Data Integrator provided bi-directional capability and successfully integrated 50 objects containing important data as well as the linking to scanned documents in JPEG and GIF formats. A world-leading mass printing and fulfillment company began an initiative to improve its growing client services operations by moving from a mainframe to a distributed client/server architecture for better efficiencies. Important customer information for some of the largest companies in the world had to be migrated without a problem.
The IT team leading the effort sought data migration and new data on-ramping expertise that could facilitate a highly reliable, time-sensitive transition of files from a mainframe to databases at its plants. The printer chose Pervasive® Data Integrator™. Its ability to rapidly transform legacy mainframe data types to updated formats was an important factor that influenced the printer’s decision. 1
