Pervasive Software Releases Pervasive DataCloud Summer 2010
Robust Security Features, Enhanced Management Console Enrich Pervasive Software’s Amazon Web Services-Based Offering
AUSTIN, Texas – July 13, 2010 - Pervasive Software® Inc. (NASDAQ: PVSW), a global leader in on-premises and cloud-based data integration software, today announced a richer array of security options and an enhanced management console with its Summer 2010 update to Pervasive DataCloud® 2. The update to Pervasive DataCloud 2, a secure and reliable on-demand platform-as-a-service powered by Amazon Web Services, LLC (AWS), has been fully implemented and the new capabilities are automatically available to the more than 200 Pervasive DataCloud users.
Pervasive DataCloud has the flexibility to host both Pervasive-developed solutions and custom data services created by third-party end users or partners. Pervasive DataCloud Summer 2010 gives partners multi-level cloud security with granular permission levels for users and groups as well as Oauth remote client site authorization. The platform also now supports more usage-based billing flexibility with metering for CPU, storage and bandwidth at the user level.
“We are excited to be working with Pervasive and their DataCloud platform to bring value added solutions to our mutual customers,” said Terry Wise, Director Business Development, Amazon Web Services. “This new offering will enable more customers to leverage the elasticity, security, utility pricing and pay-as-you-go approach that AWS provides.”
Other new Pervasive DataCloud capabilities include:
• Simplified uploading of product and provisioning files
• Graphical displays of bandwidth usage
• Tunable scaling to add on-demand servers to any process or pre-set server counts from the management console
• Trust page display of historical data
• The ability to automatically update individual files at customer sites using the Pervasive DataCloud remote agent
“As longtime partners, we are very pleased to see Pervasive offer such robust capabilities for Cloud integration,” stated Cory VanderJagt, Astadia's Director of IT Transformation. “We're focusing on helping business executives optimize customer-facing processes and technology executives rationalize migrating their IT portfolio to the Cloud. Pervasive DataCloud helps us offer integrated multi-vendor front-office solutions running entirely in the Cloud.”
“As the range of services delivered on Pervasive DataCloud continues to expand, we in turn deepen and extend the capabilities Pervasive DataCloud offers for our growing customer and partner base,” said Bill Jacaruso, Senior Director, Pervasive DataSolutions. “Our on-demand Cloud-based architecture means users across the globe gain instant, automated access to new Pervasive DataCloud features.”
