About Pervasive Data Provider for .NET

The Pervasive Data Provider for .NET runs as 100% managed code and requ= ires=20 the Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 to be installed. If you do not already ha= ve the=20 Framework, the Provider installation program gives you the option of insta= lling=20 it.

Installation

Run the installation by executing setup.exe on the distrib= ution=20 media or from the download.

Notes:
 
During installation, an empty= DOS=20 window titled cmd.exe may temporarily appear. The installatio= n of=20 Pervasive Data Provider for .NET initiates a DOS process to install the=20 Provider's components. See the comp= onents=20 list for file details.
 
If you are running any prior ver= sion=20 of the Pervasive Data Provider for .NET, uninstall it before installing th= is=20 version (2.10.0.32). Use the operating system Add/Remove Programs to unins= tall=20 the Provider from the development computer and from any client computers. =

The Provider should be installed on the computer where .NET application= =20 development will be performed, and also on the client computer(s) that wil= l=20 execute the application.

The Provider is installed to the Global Assembly Cache (GAC) during the= =20 installation process.
